Dollypin (Small clothespin) Ornaments.

Here are some of my Clothespin dolls.  I started making them with the large ones, I wanted mine to look different so I learned how to whittle, at first I only made the ballerina feet, then as time got better I started doing arms and legs (more definition).  The challenge was when the smaller dollypins came out making the arms and hands even.. I dress them all, use the remainder of the woodchips for hair after painting the faces.  These are going to a new home with my son and grandson. The top ballerina's skirt is paper, makes a wonderful new pleated effect.

G45 Mini Album (banner) Advent Calendar

Hi all!  When my son told me the other day that he remembered my Christmas crafts--especially the little clothespin doll ornaments (will post them next).  I decided that I would bring him some and also make an advent calendar.  When I saw the G45 challenge and I actually had the right paper (a miracle), I decided to do it.  Fortunately, DH bought me a Silhouette Cameo last Christmas, so I made all the tags, then followed the instruction given to cut the papers, OH SO EASY.  I started work on it about 4pm yesterday, and had it decorated and strung by midnight.  below are the sets (note some have two days!)..  I decorated them with a variety of decorations I had on hand.  some have the cutest ribbons I got from Joanne.
Although the colors don't match the Papercrafter's Corner Challenge, the vintage look does and thinking of the Awe that this would inspire in that adorable little child's face, as hopefully it will with my grandson, when he sees it..
see blow for inspiration pic and other challenges entered.

Mixed Media Tic Tac Toe inspiration fits so may: Star, Patterned Paper, Ribbon; Bow, Glitter Ribbon..etc...

Penguin Snow globe

Here's one that I made for a co-worker of DH (who helped squeeze me in for several MRI's).. Wanted to make something special.  I also used inspiration from several places to make it, Papercrafter's Corner and Your Next Stamp.  When I first saw the inspiration picture from Papercrafter's corner, I thought of COLD and SNOW and the wisps of smoke how to keep warm, then I remembered that the penguins stamps I won from Val @ Val By Design and it  had everything I needed and  just the right sayings for this...ALSO, the penquin paper that I won from Lisa @ The Crafting Cave.  The color scheme from Your Next Stamp just fit in totally!!! YEAH...  Hope you like it, will fill in the details later, gotta make one more very special
card today...

Papertrey and G45

Here's a card I made for Papertrey challenge:   http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2014/12/papertrey-ink-make-it-monday-192-tab-closure-tri-fold-card.html
it is also entered in:
http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/ (see inside, postcards travel, so does Santa.lol)

I used Graphics 45 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (8x8)  I used the Papertrey Beautiful Blooms stamp set and Background Basics: Art Deco.  I used Add a little Dazzle metallic red and stamped the Art Deco in white ink and then embossed in white (arches)and the dots were in black with Ranger Antique gold embossing (so it looks a little green).   For the flower I used Colorbox Red and Green and then for the outline silver with gold embossing.  I used my Spectrum Noir Pens to make the veins in the red and for the center and stamped it and embossed with Ranger Antique Gold and fussy cut it out.  I layered all together to make a poinsettia and placed on a heart that I embossed in gold and drew in the stitches (it slips slightly behind the metallic sheet for closure).   I Fussy cut out the Santa and clock and placed over a doily and inserted tulle and used glue dots to connect all.  I placed a ribbon abode  I took May Arts plaid ribbon and cut a fish tail on one side and gathered it and used a star brad and placed it on using glue dots.  For the inside I used DCWV Evergreen stack and then fussy cut out the Santa post card from G45 to finish it off...  Hope you like...

Hot Coffee Lovers Blog hop

Today I'm playing along with the very fun Coffee Lovers blog hop.
There are going to be TONS of fun prizes too -

You can head over to Amy Tsuruta's Blog for more details on how to play along!

Here's what I created:
http://tsurutadesigns.blogspot.com/2014/12/holiday-coffee-lovers-blog-hop-details.html

Thank You: Thanks a bunch, thanks a latte(inside)
Stamps:
Front: Snag’em Stamps “Thanks a bunch”,
Sentiment inside Fiskars Teresa Collins “Thank You” & KraftinKimmie “Kimmie’s Fun Sentiments”
Paper: DCWV “Free Spirit, Be Yourself”; Recollections  “cream”
Cuttlebug folder “Swiss Dots”
Dies: Sizzix Ovals, Silhouette (I created pink scalloped oval for this)
Flower coloring: CT1, CT2, CT3, BT1, BT2,BT4, PP3, PL1,BP2
Embellishment: Recollections “Iridescent Rhinestones”
Essentials:
Fiskars Fuse and adapter plates
EK tools 3D-Dots
Ad-tech glue runner “Multi-Mono Liquid Glue”
Tombow “Multi-Mono Liquid Glue”
Glue Dots Adhesives

To make this card I fussy cut the DCWV paper for the front (had problems getting markings to be read).  I use my Fiskars Fuse with adapter plates with the embossing folder and to cut the 2 ovals from day Sizzix ovals.  I made a cut file in the silhouette for the scalloped oval back to match the Sizzix “Ovals” die set after measuring them.  I used  ColorBox petals to ink the edge of the cream-colored oval and stamped it, and then colored them with the Spectrum Noir colors noted above.  I used a tape runner and dots to adhere the DCWV papers and placed the 3 different layers of Ovals on top of the DCWV paper the 1st layer used the tape runner, for the final layer I used foam dots. I then decorated the front of the card using the Recollections  rhinestones for the inside of the card I found this silhouette cut file “take out” style coffee cup and using the program colored papers printed them out and cut them in the silhouette. I then attached all pieces together using either tape or generic glue and then I used the tape runner on the back of the cup to attached to the cardstock. I stamped the sediment “thank you” using the Fiskars stamp and  the phrase “a latte” from the Kraftin’ Kimmy and attached it to the card using a tape runner.

All White Ornament

Here's an all white ornament for several challenges, its a shaker, but hard to tell with the foil background...I used LawnFawn stamp My Silly Valentine  and Forest border die.  The embossing folder was Couture Creations Powder puff.  to add dimension to the base I used several layers of foam dots.  The snowflakes in the globe also have glitter, they really show up better in person.
For the Mixed Media tic-tac-toe I used bow, glitter, & ribbon.

Papercrafter's Corner Magazine Monday 79

The Papercrafter's Corner Magazine Monday made me think about using a black paper as the background, I finally found one with stars and thought, I can work with that, to simulate the ceiling I used a Spellbinders die and cut it in half.  The Reindeer was also Spellbinders, the scene was so colorful and I decided to pull out all the fun stickers I had gotten and do it up with wreath, packages, the gingerbread house gave the tan colors bottom from the center and the candies the other, the trees gave the greens.  This was so much fun,   Hope you like it.
