Anniversary Card

Here is an anniversary card for my husband.  I saw the Whisper Grapics challend this morning and knew I had to do it.  We went to Ireland for our Honeymoon and LOVE Celtic art, so I colored this graphic I found online with my Spectrum Noir pens.  I used the Steampunk Graphics 45 to make it masculine and used some Queen & Co bling,  See below for challenges and links.

Graphics 45 Design Team Audition 2015

First, I adore Graphics 45 and once I got my first set of papers in December 2014, I felt at home using them.  Your papers just seem to speak to me.  I feel I would be an asset to your team because I am detail oriented, can follow directions, and am extremely artistic.  I learn very quickly and can think outside the box.  I developed and taught training classes when I was in the telecommunications industry, and my writing skills are excellent so I could prepare excellent tutorials and provide demonstrations if necessary.

Before I  show my paper-crafts I would love to highlight some of my other artistic endeavors so you can get a feel for the true breadth of my skills, not just in paper-crafting.  The ceramic figure is hand-sculpted (she's only two inches tall and one inch wide.)  Next are some of my ink/pencil renderings, and at the bottom a wood-crafting ornament I made from a 3 inch clothespin doll (I whittled, dressed, and  painted.)  Some of my other talents include sewing and painting. I feel that construction and design are as much of an art as my other crafts, so, here is just one of the showers that I built, from floor up (including plumbing) for our master bathroom.  Please feel free to visit my Flickr account to if you want to see more of the remodels that I designed. There are folders for the master bath remodel, guest, downstairs, kitchen, all I which I designed and implemented (with some help of course.)(https://www.flickr.com/photos/23744660@N04/sets/)

Now for some of my favorite paper-crafting projects: Most are Graphics 45, but I thought I'd include a few others also.

If chosen, one of the projects I hope I could do is to make a dollhouse kit decorate all the pieces of furniture and interior with a variety of your papers, I would be such an awesome piece of art when finished!  Also, having access to a greater amount of your products would allow me to branch out into a variety of mixed media projects.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my work and would consider taking the chance on a newbie that is driven to succeed and would fully appreciate the opportunity to work with your fine products.

G45 Dollhouse Kitchen Cupboard

Here is an old dollhouse dresser (left over from when I made a few kits to give away to charity at Christmas).  Please note that the drawers etc were askew (my son helped make it when he was little.)  I will provide a few pics of how I made the pattern.. The papers were from "Time to Celebrate 8x8", "Time to Celebrate 6x6 patterns and solids","Botanical Tea (bird), and "Couture 6x6 patterns and solids).  The flowers and pearls were left over from my wedding decorations, the crystal pulls were from Queen & Co.  I used Glossy Accents on the hearts, ovals, and bird picture.  The sink was Duct Tape This is entered in Simon Says Wed. Things that fly; The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge  10"Birds of a Feather (bird in center who wouldn't want to look at that lovely picture while working at a sink?).  Really Reasonable Ribbon Flowers--I think the pearls are a trim, I hope.  Craft Hoarders Anonymous  Go Green(links below)

Sorry, I accidentally deleted the first before picture.  I made the pattern  using the pencil to find the edges (after I cut out an oval below left, and repeated till finished (I used the same technique for the top also, see the pattern to the right with the heart).
Once I had It drawn in I cut it out using my fingertip knife with a ruler with a metal edge to get a clean cut line.  Next, I used Sticker Maker and let it dry so it would remain tacky.

After I cut the pattern I placed it on the papers and drew it on and cut it out
with the fingertip knife.

I did my final cuts after putting the cut pieced on similar to the picture of the white pattern by making tiny slits (similar to clipping the fabric on a curve) to slip it in the tiny crevices after putting Tacky Glue on it.  I glued on all the cut pieces, decorated it using glue dots to hold the flowers.  I made the little picture using a sticker and putting it on the black and putting pearls around it, after it dried I used the Glossy accents on it and all the hearts and pulls.

Birthday Mother-in-Law

Well, found the opportunity to make a card to go with the Graphics 45 Mini Album I made for her in January.  (below it the collage)

Kathy Clement directed me to a site that might I might like to play at:http://heartwarmingvintage.blogspot.com/  Well, when I saw the sweet image they provided and the challenge for green, it just fit.  So I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir pens.  I found a piece I made using embossing paste that I hadn't used and I inked it up (I used several colors and sanded between to make it look more vintage).  I used a variety of papers from Graphics 45 "Time to Celebrate 8x8", "Time to Celebrate 6x6 Patterns and Solids", and "Coture 6x6 Patterns and Solids".  I also used Petaloo flowers, leaves, fern, and the stems.  The pearls were from I Want to Scrap, and several generic buttons.
See below for all the links to where it is entered and additional comments with the badges.

For Mixed Media Challenge has papers were spring theme and optional bird that was added here.
I am entering this in Simon Says "B is for " (birthday or Bird.) What inspiring DT projects!

St. Patrick's Masculine

Here's a St. Patrick's masculine card for my son...Patrick.(and grandson too)..  I really labored on this one, and finally threw away my original idea and I'm glad I did.  I used the Graphics 45 "Time to Flourish" for the sentiments inside and out, the Graphic's 45 "Time to Celebrate 6x6) for the awesome striped background for the image.  I got the image online and mounted it on DCVW "Timeless Texture" (I only bought the smaller size of the other papers and wanted to save every little bit for other projects.)  I distressed the edges (this is something I've thought about ever since I won the tool on a Petaloo/Core'dinations blog hop.)  I added two Want to Scrap pearls. The stamp on the back was a gift from a very dear friend, Suzi, she had it made for me knowing how much I love Celtic things.  What a sweetheart, I know I should have colored the shamrock, but I missed the mailman and needed to get to the post, hopefully it gets to Denver in time.
I am entering it in Word Art Wednesday,Unruly Paper Arts, and Open Minded Craftingthanks Kathy Clement for sending me that way).  Links to all challenges entered are below along with challenge pictures and how it fits the challenge.

This is entered in the Monday challenge "b is for", (boy!)  hope you enjoy.
